Migrating

OS/400^(R) VPN was first introduced as part of the operating system in V4R4. In both V4R4 and V4R5, when you configured VPN connections, you had to configure the VPN packet rules Link to definition as a separate step. They were not created automatically as part of your VPN configurations. Starting in V5R1, OS/400 VPN can now create the VPN packet rules automatically. However, the steps you take to configure VPN after you migrate to the current release vary depending on whether you created policy filters rules in V4R4 or V4R5, and whether you plan to use those same rules in this release.
