Because your traffic will cross networks that might not always use RSVP-enabled routers, you need to assign a marking to the packets in this policy. The best way to find the correct priority marking is to assign the codepoint that best meets the application's needs. Experiment with different priority levels and monitor the results. The codepoint marking you assign will allow these packets to retain priority when crossing differentiated service-aware routers that cannot use the RSVP protocol.
