Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) is a simple protocol that provides basic file transfer function with no user authentication.
TFTP is intended for applications that do not need the sophisticated interactions that File Transfer Protocol (FTP) provides. Together, TFTP and Bootstrap Protocol (BOOTP) provide support for clients of an iSeries™ system. They also provide support for other clients that use the TFTP and BOOTP protocols.
You can work with TFTP server properties through iSeries Navigator, the graphical user interface (GUI) for i5/OS™.
