Verify that TCP/IP is active on the remote system

If the remote system is using i5/OS, follow these steps:

  1. From the command line on the remote system, type STRTCP.
  2. Verify that TCP/IP has started:

If you do not have control of the remote system, contact the network administrator for the remote system to find out whether TCP/IP is active.
