Test whether you can reach the DNS server by pinging its IP address.

At the command line, type PING 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn' where 'nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn' is the IP address for the DNS server.

Note:You must use IPv4 network to communicate with a DNS server.
