TCP/IP

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is a set of network protocols that enables computers to share resources and exchange information across a network. TCP/IP allows hosts to communicate with each other regardless of the host or user's physical location, the operating system, or the network medium. TCP/IP operates in many different network environments, that include the Internet and corporate Intranets.
