Follow these steps to configure your iSeries™ server for communications:

1. Depending on the type of hardware you have, you may need to refer to the following topics:
   • Create a network interface description
   • Create a network server description
2. Create a line description. Depending on your hardware, the lines may be attached to a network server or a network interface.
