SPD OptiConnect allows a partition to communicate with another server or another partition that also has the OptiConnect hardware.
Any partition that uses OptiConnect must have the OptiConnect hardware on a dedicated bus in the partition. The OptiConnect hardware can not be on a shared bus. Additionally, you must purchase OptiConnect (a priced optional feature) for i5/OS™ software.
