Prevent the File Transfer Protocol server from starting automatically

To prevent File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server jobs from starting automatically when you start TCP/IP, follow these steps:
  1. In iSeries™ Navigator, expand your iSeries Server > Network > Servers > TCP/IP .
  2. Right-click FTP and select Properties.
  3. Deselect Start when TCP/IP starts.
