Identify servers to include in a cluster

In order to identify the servers that you want to include in a cluster, you need to decide which servers are capable of providing adequate backup for the data and applications you need to run your business.

You need to determine:

• Which servers contain your critical data and critical applications?
• Which servers will be the backup for those systems?

Once you have determined this, these are the servers that you will want to include in your cluster.
