Enable object auditing for the Directory Server

Directory Server supports i5/OS security auditing. If the QAUDCTL system value has *OBJAUD specified, you can enable object auditing through iSeries Navigator.

To enable object auditing for Directory Server, follow these steps:

1. In iSeries Navigator, expand Network.
2. Expand Servers.
3. Click TCP/IP.
4. Right-click IBM Directory Server and select Properties.
5. Click the Auditing tab.
6. Select the auditing setting that you want to use for your server.
7. Click OK

Changes to auditing settings will take effect as soon as you click OK. There is no need to restart the Directory Server. For more information, see Directory Server security
