The remote system hardware (xSeries system or BladeCenter blade) must be identified so that the correct server hardware is used for the server.
If the server hardware is an xSeries server, you do not need to specify the remote system serial number below. In this case, the serial number specified for the service processor configuration enclosure identity defined earlier can be used to identify the server hardware.
If the server hardware is a BladeCenter blade, you must specify the serial number of the blade below.
For cases where the remote system serial number might not be unique on the network, you can optionally specify the remote system manufacturer type and model.
