Create a file share

A file share is a directory path that iSeries™ NetServer™ shares with PC clients on the iSeries network. A file share can consist of any integrated file system directory on iSeries.

To create a file share, follow these steps.

  1. Expand your system in iSeries Navigator > File Systems > Integrated File System.
  2. Expand the file system that contains the folder for which you want to create a share.
  3. Right-click the folder for which you want to create a share and select Sharing.
  4. Select New Share.
