A user-defined file system (UDFS) is a file system that a user creates and manages. To determine if you have any UDFS, use one of the following methods:

Using iSeries Navigator
Select your server --> File Systems --> Integrated File System --> Root --> dev --> QASPxx or the name of an independent disk pool.
If UDFS objects exist, they will appear in the right-hand pane.

Using the character-based interface

  1. At a command line, specify WRKLNK DEV.
  2. On the Work with Object Links screen, select option 5 to display the contents of the dev folder.
  3. Locate object links beginning with QASPxx or the name of an independent disk pool, and select Option 5 to display the UDFS within the auxiliary storage pool (ASP).
