OptiConnect is the iSeries system area network that provides high-speed interconnectivity between multiple iSeries systems in a local environment. To check whether you have installed OptiConnect, use one of the following methods:

Using iSeries Navigator
In iSeries Navigator expand your server --> Configuration and Service --> Software --> Installed Products.
OptiConnect is option 0023 of product 5722ss1, OS/400 - OptiConnect. If it is installed, it will appear in the right-hand pane.

Using the character-based interface

1. At a command line, specify GO LICPGM.
2. Specify option 10 to display installed licensed programs.
3. If OptiConnect is installed, 5722SS1 will appear when you scroll through the list of installed programs.
