Deleting Linux servers

A CL command, called Delete Linux Server (DLTLNXSVR), was created for i5/OS^® V5R4 that removes the iSeries™ objects associated with an integrated Linux server. This command also deletes integrated Linux servers. The DLTLNXSVR command removes the:

• Network server description (NWSD)
• Point-to-Point Virtual Ethernet LAN line descriptions
• TCP/IP interfaces bound to Virtual Ethernet LAN line descriptions
• All system created storage spaces linked to the NWSD

You cannot delete an integrated server using iSeries Navigator. This command is available through CL commands only.

To run the delete command, enter:

DLTLNXSVR NWSD(nwsd-name)

If you no longer want to run integrated Linux or Windows^® servers on the iSeries, you can also delete the i5/OS Integrated Server Support (5722SS1 option 29 and 5722LSV).

To remove the license program, enter two commands:

DLTLICPGM LICPGM(5722SS1) OPTION(29)
DLTLICPGM LICPGM(5722LSV)
