Edit a time zone

View this topic to learn about the authority needed to edit a time zone and how to edit the time zone properties.

If you create a time zone and realize later that a property was not set correctly, you can edit the time zone. You can also edit the time zone while it is being used by the system.

To edit a time zone, you need to make sure you have the required authority to edit the time zone.

To edit a time zone, complete the following steps:

In iSeries™ Navigator, expand My Connections > server-name > Configuration and Service > Time Management > Time Zones.
On the Time Zones dialog box, view the time zones listed in the Available time zones field and select the time zone you want to edit.
Click Edit.
Edit the properties on the General page. For help specific to each field, see the online help.
Edit the properties on the Daylight Saving Time page. For help specific to each field, see the online help.
Click OK to save and close the time zone properties.

You have successfully edited the time zone. The changes take effect immediately.
