You can use iSeries™ Navigator
to configure token-ring support for TCP/IP.
Follow these steps:
- If you have not done so already, install iSeries Navigator.
- iSeries Navigator
can use an existing line description. To use an existing line description, change it.
Then return here to continue these steps.
- In iSeries Navigator,
expand the server that will provide token-ring support for TCP/IP.
- Use the LAN Configuration Wizard to configure a new TCP/IP interface to use token ring with
TCP/IP. As you create a new token-ring line for the 100 Mbps card
while creating the interface, remember these items about the duplex modes:
- At 4 Mbps or 16 Mbps you can use half-duplex or full-duplex modes.
- At 100 Mbps you can only use full duplex.
- If you did not start the TCP/IP interface, you can do so now by enabling it to
accept connections.
