Match iSeries system parameters for 3684 retail controllers

You must coordinate parameters with the iSeries™ system and the 3684 retail controller. The following table lists those parameters.

iSeries parameters are listed in alphabetical order; the commands on which the parameters are specified are included in the rightmost column of the table.

To configure the iSeries server to a 3684 controller, use the following table.

Value specified for the iSeries CNN parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the values specified for bits 2 and 3 of the 3684 LINECON parameter.
Duplex DUPLEX QFSFGLNK LINECON

Value specified for the iSeries DUPLEX parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the value specified for bit 6 of the 3684 LINECON parameter.
Exchange identifier EXCHID QVSFGLNK SENDID

3684 SENDID parameter must match the last 5 digits of the EXCHID parameter specified on the iSeries CRTCTLRTL command.
RECVID

3684 RECVID parameter must match the last 5 digits of the EXCHID parameter specified on the iSeries CRTLINSDLC command. (This parameter is used only for switched line communications.)
Modem data rate MODEMRATE QFSFGLNK LINECON

Value specified for the iSeries MODEMRATE parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the value specified for bit 5 of the 3684 LINECON parameter.
NRZI data encoding NRZI QFSFGLNK LINECON

Value specified for the iSeries NRZI parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the value specified for bit 1 of the 3684 LINECON parameter.
Switched network backup SNBU QFSFGLNK LINECON

Value specified for the iSeries SNBU parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command must match the value specified for bit 4 of the 3684 LINECON parameter.
SSCP identifier SSCPID QVSFGLNK SSCPID

3684 SSCPID parameter must match the SSCPID parameter specified on the iSeries CRTCTLRTL command.
Station address STNADR QVSFGLNK POLCHAR

3684 POLCHAR parameter must match the 2-digit hexadecimal address specified for the STNADR parameter on the iSeries CRTCTLRTL command. Allowed values are in the range 01 through FE.
Switched connection SWITCHED QFSFGLNK LINECON

Value specified for the iSeries SWITCHED parameter on the CRTCTLRTL command must match the values specified for bits 2 and 3 of the 3684 LINECON parameter.
Note:
For the iSeries server, the 3684 QVSFGLNK, QVSFCOMM, and QVSFSESN definitions must each specify DATALNK=SDLC.

Values specified for the iSeries parameters on the CRTCTLRTL and CRTLINSDLC commands must match the values specified on the 3684 LINECON parameter.
