A: | The navigation bar (the the leftmost pane) is like a table of contents. Use the navigation bar to find the information you want, then click the title of the entry that you want to see. Alternatively, you can use the search function to find a page that contains the terms that you want to find. |

A: | The information center uses interactive and customizable pages that require storing information on your computer by using cookies. For these interactive pages to work properly, ensure that you are using a browser that supports cookies and that it has cookies enabled. For more information about how to use cookies with your browser, use the help documentation provided with your browser. |
Q: | How do I view the information center in a different language or version? |
A: | For the V5R4 information center, powered by Eclipse(TM), the local language setting of your browser determines the language version of the information center content. You might have to clear your browser cache and refresh your browser view. On some browser and operating system combinations, you might have to change the regional settings of your operating system to the locale and language of your choice. For more information, see the help information provided with your browser or operating system.
Note: When the information you want to view has not been translated into your chosen language, the system displays the English version by default. For releases prior to v5r3, go to the iSeries Information Center entry page . Select a version and language from the list. |
Q: | Is it possible to use the information center when I cannot access the Internet? |
A: | Yes. There are many ways you can use the information center without going online.

Q: | How can I be notified when updates become available to download from the Internet? |
A: | The information center is periodically updated on the Internet. To be informed by e-mail when updates occur, you can subscribe to update notifications. If you have used the CD-ROM to install the information center, you can download updates from the Internet. For more information, see Subscribing to and downloading Internet updates. |
Q: | Why did you move the manuals from the online library to the information center? |
A: | The online library migrated to the information center because the information center is our strategic information delivery mechanism. The information center allows you to access all information from one place and has a better structure for online viewing. The information center includes links to manuals, Redbooks(TM), and other important information. See Printable manuals and PDFs for a complete listing. |
Q: | Is there a way to see the information that has moved from a manual to an information center topic collection? |
A: | Yes. An information map that lists information that has moved from book format to the iSeries Information Center is available. |
