<div class="section"><p>The primary method to configure the Emulator is with X resources.
|
||
|
|
There is command line support for a subset of the X resources. Values passed
|
||
|
|
in on the command line take precedence over values set as X resources. For
|
||
|
|
information on using the emulator X resources, see the following: </p>

|
||
|

The color mapping program supports 8, 16, and 24 bit color systems.</li>
|
||

<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzatvimagefax.htm">Image/fax (3849 emulation)</a></strong><br />
|
||
|
|
5250 monochrome image/fax viewing and printing to PostScript printers is supported. 5250 color and grey scale JPEG and TIFF image viewing and printing is supported. Color PCX is supported.</li>

|
||
|
|
The 5250 emulator includes a GUI keyboard remapping program for 5250 sessions.</li>
|
||

<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzatvmisc.htm">Miscellaneous preferences</a></strong><br />
|
||
|
|
Launch the miscellaneous preferences menu through a pull down menu item under the Option menu. A resource entry controls the availability or unavailability of the miscellaneous preferences menu item.</li>

<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzatvpoppull.htm">Popup/pull down keypads</a></strong><br />
|
||
|
|
You can create keypads.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzatvrecplay.htm">Record/playback</a></strong><br />
|
||
|
|
The emulator supports record/playback capability (sometimes called keyboard macros) for 5250 sessions. Any recorded sequences are stored in a file in the user's directory.</li>

<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzatvscrnprt.htm">Screen print</a></strong><br />
|
||
|
|
Screen print uses the default printer environment variable. If a printer other then the default printer is desired, that printers name needs to by typed into the displayed lpr command.</li>

<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzatvsesid.htm">Session ID</a></strong><br />
|
||
|
|
The session ID can be defined by a command line option or a resource.</li>
