<div><p>View this topic to verify the system values that relate to time
on the iSeries™ server.</p>
<div class="section"><p>You can view or change the system values related to time on the iSeries server.
These include the following system values: time of day (QTIME), offset from
UTC (QUTCOFFSET), and time zone (QTIMZON). This topic describes how to view
the system values and their associated values.</p>

<ol><li><span>In iSeries Navigator,
expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">server-name</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Configuration and Service</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">System Values</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Date and Time</span></span>.</span></li>
<li><span>On the Time page, determine whether a time adjustment is in progress
or not. </span><ol type="a"><li><span>If an adjustment is in progress, the <span class="uicontrol">Time of day</span> field
will not reflect the adjusted time value until the adjustment is complete.
Continue to <a href="#rzatidetailstimesysval__step4">Step 4</a>.</span></li>
<li><span>If an adjustment is not in progress, continue to the next step.</span></li>

<li><span>Verify that the <span class="uicontrol">Time of day</span> is correct.
See Update system time to make the proper time adjustment.</span></li>
<li id="rzatidetailstimesysval__step4"><a name="rzatidetailstimesysval__step4"><!-- --></a><span>Verify that the <span class="uicontrol">Offset from coordinated universal
time (UTC)</span> is correct.</span><ol type="a"><li><span>If it is not correct and you are using V5R3 or later IBM<sup>®</sup> iSeries Access
for Windows<sup>®</sup> with i5/OS™ V5R3
or later, you need to verify the time zone properties. The offset from UTC
is determined by the time zone being used on the system.</span></li>
<li><span>If it is not correct and you are using V5R2 or earlier IBM iSeries Access
for Windows with i5/OS V5R3
or later, you need to verify the time zone (QTIMZON) system value using the
character-based interface. Use the Work with System Values (WRKSYSVAL)
command.</span></li>
<li><span>If it is not correct and you are using V5R2 or earlier IBM iSeries Access
for Windows with OS/400<sup>®</sup> V5R2
or earlier, change the <span class="uicontrol">Offset from UTC</span> system value
to the correct value.</span></li>

<li><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to close the <span class="uicontrol">Date and
Time</span> system values.</span></li>
