<div><div class="section"><p>After you have successfully installed TCP/IP Connectivity and
Utilities licensed program and configured TCP/IP on your iSeries™ system,
you should test your TCP/IP connections.</p>
<p>To test your
TCP/IP connection to the network, follow these steps:</p>

<ol><li><span>Verify that TCP/IP communication is configured and started on each
of the workstations. Use the documentation provided by your workstation vendor.</span></li>
<li><span>From workstation 1, open a command prompt and type <kbd class="userinput">ping
192.168.1.3</kbd>. You might receive a message that confirms the packet
has been sent to iSeries A.
This verifies that the workstation can access the server. If the connection
to the network fails, you can see <a href="../rzaku/rzakuoverview.htm" target="_blank">TCP/IP troubleshooting</a> topic in the information center
for more information.</span></li>
