<div><p>To connect the Operations Console cable, follow these instructions.</p>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Power off and unplug the PC that is going to serve as the system

console.</span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Locate the Operations Console cable (PN 97H7557). Connect the Operations

||
|
Console cable to the right connector of the 2793 or 2794 adapter located in
|
||
|
position C07 on the back of the server.</span> <p>Are you using Operations
|
||
|
Console with LAN connectivity?</p>

||

||

<ol type="a"><li><span>Connect the other end of the Operations Console cable to the

first or only communications (serial) port on the back of the PC being used
|
||
|
as the console.</span></li>

<p>If your primary choice is LAN connectivity,

you do not need to connect the Operations Console cables to your PC at this

time. If you develop a problem, you can connect these cables to the PC and

||
|
set up Operations Console. See <a href="../rzajr/rzajropconoverview.htm">Operations Console</a>. </p>

the system console to your local network. Connect a network cable from your
|
||
|
local network to the adapter card in position C06 or C05.</span></li>
