the maximum number of eligible threads for the base memory pool. A memory
pool is a logical division of memory (storage) that is reserved for processing
a job or group of jobs.</p>
<p>The maximum number of eligible threads specifies
the maximum number of system and user threads that can compete at the same
time for storage in the base storage pool. This pool is listed as <span class="uicontrol">Base</span> in
the lists of active pools and shared pools.</p>
