<div><p>Occasionally you might need to force a job to start immediately.
While moving the job to a job queue that is not busy is the most efficient
method to accomplish this, there are some other methods that you can use.</p>
<div class="p">To start a batch job, first check the status of the job queue in which
the job resides and determine if moving the job to another queue makes the
most sense for your situation. (<span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">server</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Work Management</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Job
Queues</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Active Job Queues or All Job Queues</span></span>) <p>If moving the job to another queue isn't feasible,
you can place the running jobs on hold and then move the job that you need
to start up in priority. However, use caution when using this method because
the held jobs are still included in the maximum active job count.</p>

<div class="section">To change the priority of the job and indicate when it should run,
do the following:</div>
<ol><li><span>Right-click the job and click <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>On the Job Properties window, click the <span class="uicontrol">Job Queue</span> tab.</span></li>
<li><span>Change the <span class="uicontrol">Priority on job queue </span> to a higher
priority (0 is the highest).</span></li>
<li><span>Set the <span class="uicontrol">When to make job available to run</span> to
either Now or specify the date and time.</span></li>
<li><span>Click<span class="uicontrol"> OK</span>.</span></li>
