<div><p>In order to plan for your configuration, you should
find out the specific connectivity types allowed by the various Operations
Console configurations. The scenarios included offer specific configurations
examples to help you select a console configuration most suited to your needs.
If you plan ahead, you can include additional features in your configuration.</p>
<div class="section"><div class="important"><span class="importanttitle">Important:</span> <ul><li>If you call a service representative to set up your new server, you must
have the PC that you are going to use as a console ready to be connected to
your iSeries™ server.
This includes having all cables ready and all software installed. For example,
you must already have your Windows<sup>®</sup> operating system and iSeries Access
for Windows installed
on the PC.</li>
