<div><p>Use this policy to prevent users from connecting to or configuring
|
||
|
|
systems not yet defined.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>This policy does not mandate systems or environments. Mandating these is
|
||
|
|
done by creating and using the policy template config.adm. See Create policy
|
||
|
|
templates for iSeries™ Access
|
||
|
|
for Windows<sup>®</sup> to
|
||
|
|
read about how to do this.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>When this policy is used:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ul><li>Systems not yet defined may not be used for any iSeries Access for Windows function.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>New systems may not be defined.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Systems may still be deleted, but cannot then be re-defined.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Environments may still be added, deleted, or renamed.</li>
|
||
|
|
</ul>
|
||
|
|
<p>When environments and systems are mandated:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ul><li>Systems not yet defined may be used for iSeries Access for Windows functions.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>New systems and environments may be defined.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Systems and environments already defined may not be deleted.</li>
|
||
|
|
</ul>
|
||
|
|
<p>To force a user to use, and not modify, a set of environments and systems,
|
||
|
|
use this policy along with mandating environments and systems.</p>
|
||
|
|
