<div><p>After you create an archive policy, you can change properties associated
with that policy.</p>
<div class="section">Archive policies contain information about what, where, and when
objects are being saved. To view or change the properties of a policy, follow
these steps: </div>
<ol><li><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
expand <span class="uicontrol">My Connections</span> (or your active environment). </span></li>
<li><span>Expand a system with Backup, Recovery and Media Services installed
on it. </span></li>
<li><span>Expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">Backup, Recovery and Media Services</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Archive Policies</span></span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Right-click the policy you want to view and select <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span>.</span></li>
<li><span>On the <span class="uicontrol">Archive Policy Properties</span> page, you
can select these options to change the several archive policy activities:</span></li>
</ol>
<div class="example"><dl><dt class="dlterm">Before</dt>
<dd>Select <span class="uicontrol">Before</span> to specify what activities should
occur before the archive runs. These settings prepare your system for the
save. You can specify commands to run before the save begins, whether to signoff
interactive users, and whether to hold active job queues and subsystems.</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">During</dt>
<dd>Select <span class="uicontrol">During</span> to control what activities should
occur during the archive. This includes what items are archived, where those
items are archived, what level of information is kept about the save, and
when the policy is run. For archive policies you can also set specific archive
criteria that will automatically archive those objects that meet those specifications
when the archive policy is run.</dd>
<dt class="dlterm">After</dt>
<dd>Select <span class="uicontrol">After</span> to specify what activities should
occur after the archive runs. These are activities are performed on your system
after the archive completes. These specifications include You can specify
commands to run after the save ends, whether to signoff interactive users,
and whether to release job queues and subsystems that have been held during
archive processing.</dd>
