<h2 id="rzahywebadmin">Web administration</h2>
|
||
|
|
<p>One or more Directory Servers can be administered through the Web administration
|
||
|
|
console. The Web administration console allows you to:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ul>
|
||
|
|
<li>Add or change the list of Directory Servers that can be administered.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Administer a Directory Server using the Web administration tool.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Change Web administration console attributes.</li></ul>
|
||
|
|
<p>To use the Web administration console, do the following:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol type="1">
|
||
|
|
<li>If this is the first time that you are using Directory Server Web administration,
|
||
|
|
you need to first set up Web administration (see <a href="rzahyconsole.htm#rzahyconsole">Set up Web administration for the first time</a>)
|
||
|
|
and then continue with the next step.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Log in to the Directory Server Web administration by doing one of the
|
||
|
|
following:
|
||
|
|
<ul>
|
||
|
|
<li>From iSeries Navigator, select your server and click <span class="bold">Network</span> > <span class="bold">Servers</span> > <span class="bold">TCP/IP</span>,
|
||
|
|
right click <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server</span>, and click <span class="bold">Server Administration</span>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>From the iSeries Tasks page (http://<span class="italic">your_server</span>:2001)
|
||
|
|
click <span class="bold">IBM Directory Server</span>.</li></ul></li>
|
||
|
|
<li>If you want to administer a Directory Server, do the following:
|
||
|
|
<ol type="a">
|
||
|
|
<li>Select the Directory Server that you want to administer in the <span class="bold">LDAP Hostname</span> field.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Enter the administrator login DN that you use to bind to the directory
|
||
|
|
server.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Enter the administrator password.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Login</span>. The IBM Directory Server Web
|
||
|
|
Administration Tool page is displayed. For more information about the IBM
|
||
|
|
Directory Server Web Administration Tool page, see <a href="rzahywebadmininter.htm#rzahywebadmininter">Web administration tool</a>.</li></ol></li>

<li>If you want to add or change the list of Directory Servers that can be
|
||
|
|
administered, or change the Web administration console attributes, do the
|
||
|
|
following:
|
||

<li>Select the <span class="bold">Console Admin</span> in the <span class="bold">LDAP Hostname</span> field.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Enter the console administrator login.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Enter the console administrator password.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="bold">Login</span>. The IBM Directory Server Web
|
||
|
|
Administration Tool page is displayed. For more information about the IBM
|
||
|
|
Directory Server Web Administration Tool page, see <a href="rzahywebadmininter.htm#rzahywebadmininter">Web administration tool</a>.</li>

<li>Click <span class="bold">Console administration</span> and then select
|
||
|
|
one of the following:
|
||
|
|
<ul>
|
||
|
|
<li><span class="bold">Change console administrator login</span> to change
|
||
|
|
the name of the console administrator login.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span class="bold">Change console administrator password</span> to
|
||
|
|
change the console administrator's password.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span class="bold">Manage console servers</span> to change which
|
||
|
|
Directory Servers can be administered by the Web administration console.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span class="bold">Manage console properties</span> to change the
|
||
|
|
