<h3 id="rzahqitppi">Format a tape on i5/OS for use with integrated Windows servers</h3>
|

|
<p>To use iSeries™ tape drives with integrated Windows servers, you must use a tape
|
||
|
format that they recognize. To produce a non-labeled tape acceptable to Windows,
|
||
|
use the i5/OS™ Initialize tape (INZTAP) command.</p>
|
||
|
<p>To format a tape, do the following steps:</p>
|
||
|
<ul>

||
|
<li>Put the tape you want to use in the iSeries tape drive.</li>
|
||
|
<li>At the i5/OS command line, type:

||
