<div class="section"><p>Use the <a href="javadoc/com/ibm/as400/micro/MEServer.html#NAVBAR_TOP">MEServer class</a> to fulfill requests from your <a href="microconcept.htm#microconcept__tier0">Tier0</a>
client application that uses the ToolboxME for iSeries™ jar file. The MEServer creates IBM<sup>®</sup> Toolbox
for Java™ objects
and invokes methods on them on behalf of the client application.</p>
<div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> To
use ToolboxMe for iSeries classes, you must separately download and
set up the ToolboxME for iSeries component. For more information, see <a href="microsetup.htm#microsetup">Downloading and setting up ToolboxME for iSeries</a>.</div>
<p>Use
the following command to start an MEServer:</p>
<pre> java com.ibm.as400.micro.MEServer [options]</pre>
<p>where
[options] is one or more of the following:</p>
<dl><dt class="dlterm"> <strong><span class="option">-pcml</span></strong><samp class="codeph"> pcml_doc1 [;pcml_doc2;...]</samp></dt>
<dd>Specifies the PCML document to preload and parse. You can abbreviate this
option by using <samp class="codeph">-pc</samp>. <p>For important information about
using this option, see the <a href="javadoc/com/ibm/as400/micro/MEServer.html#NAVBAR_TOP">MEServer javadoc</a>.</p>

<dl><dt class="dlterm"><strong><span class="option">-port</span></strong><samp class="codeph"> port</samp></dt>
<dd>Specifies the port to use for accepting connections from clients. The
default port is 3470. You can abbreviate this option by using <samp class="codeph">-po</samp>.</dd>
</dl>
<dl><dt class="dlterm"><strong><span class="option">-verbose</span></strong><samp class="codeph"> [true|false]</samp></dt>
<dd>Specifies whether to print status and connection information to System.out.
You can abbreviate this option by using <samp class="codeph">-v</samp>.</dd>
</dl>
<dl><dt class="dlterm"><strong><span class="option">-help</span></strong></dt>
<dd>Prints usage information to System.out. You can abbreviate this option
by using <samp class="codeph">-h</samp> or <samp class="codeph">-?</samp>. The default is not to
print usage information. </dd>
</dl>
<p>MEServer will not start if another server is already active
on the specified port.</p>
