<p>The time separator for presentation should always be stored externally

as part of the textual data.</p>

<p>When you use decimal-data fields for time fields, your application needs

to specify the format and time separators on the input and presentation operations.</p>

|

<p>When you use time-type fields, the time separators are always included
|
|||
|
|
in the time field. To change the time separators, write a CL program or high-level
|
|||
|
|
language routine to do the conversion.</p>
