<h1 class="topictitle1">Unmount a user-defined file system</h1>
<div><p>When you mount a UDFS, it covers up any file systems, directories,
or objects that exist beneath the mount point in the folder hierarchy. This
makes those file systems, directories, or objects inaccessible until you unmount
the UDFS.</p>
<div class="section"><p>To unmount a user-defined file system (UDFS), follow these steps:</p>

<ol><li><span>Expand your system in <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">iSeries Navigator</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">File Systems</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Integrated File System</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Root</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Dev</span></span>.</span></li>
<li><span>Click the auxiliary storage pool (ASP) that contains the UDFS that
you want to unmount.</span></li>
<li><span>Right-click the UDFS that you want to unmount in the <span class="uicontrol">UDFS
Name</span> column of iSeries™ Navigator's right pane.</span></li>
<li><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Unmount</span>.</span></li>
