Resources are those parts of the server that are required by a job or task, including main storage, devices, the processing unit, programs, files, libraries, and folders. When you write a high-level language program, you should be aware of what resources the server has allocated for each file type.</li>

copy physical and logical files, copy members and records, copy complex objects,

When you want an application to use a file, you do so by referring to that file by name. The file description for that file will then control how the program and the server will interact.</li>

several levels of support for shared files. Files can be shared among many
