<div><p>You can use a variety of CL commands to save and restore security
information.</p>
<div class="section"><p>If you make frequent changes to your server security environment
by updating user profiles and updating authorities for users in the distributed
relational database network, you can save security information to media or
a save file without a complete <span class="cmdname">Save System (SAVSYS)</span> command,
a long-running process that uses a dedicated server. With the <span class="cmdname">Save
Security Data (SAVSECDTA)</span> command, you can save security data in
a shorter time without using a dedicated server. Data saved using the (<span class="cmdname">SAVSECDTA</span>)
command can be restored using the <span class="cmdname">Restore User Profiles (RSTUSRPRF)</span> or <span class="cmdname">Restore
Authority (RSTAUT)</span> command. </p>

<div class="section"><p>Included in the security information that the <span class="cmdname">Save Security
Data (SAVSECDTA)</span> and <span class="cmdname">Restore User Profiles (RSTUSRPRF)</span> commands
can save and restore are the server authorization entries that the DRDA<sup>®</sup> TCP/IP support
uses to store and retrieve remote server user ID and password information.</p>
