<div><p>You can also use <em>both</em> SNADS (on <span class="keyword">iSeries™ server</span>s)
and DDM (on <span class="keyword">iSeries server</span>s and non-<span class="keyword">iSeries server</span>s) to transfer files between <span class="keyword">iSeries server</span>s and servers that are not part
of a SNADS network but have DDM installed. </p>
<div class="section"><p>Although a <span class="keyword">System/36™</span> might
have SNADS, it cannot be used for <span class="keyword">iSeries</span> object
distribution.</p>
</div>
<div class="section"><p>For example, if an <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> DDM
file refers to a file on a <span class="keyword">System/36</span>,
the <span class="keyword">iSeries server</span> can use the <span class="cmdname">SNDNETF</span> command
to send the file to another <span class="keyword">iSeries server</span> using
object distribution. Similarly, if a file has been sent to an <span class="keyword">iSeries server</span>,
the <span class="cmdname">RCVNETF</span> command can be used to receive the file onto
a <span class="keyword">System/36</span> using DDM.</p>
