<p>The Start Communications Server (STRCMNSVR) command is used to start the target display station pass-through server. The target display station pass-through server processes display station pass-through, iSeries Access work station function (WSF), and other 5250 emulation programs on programmable workstations.
</p>
<p><b>Restrictions</b> You must have job control (*JOBCTL) special authority to use this command.

<h3>Number of servers (NBRPASTHR)</h3>
<p>Specifies the number of target display station pass-through server jobs to be started.
</p>
<p>The possible values are:
</p>

<dd>Specifies that the system value (QPASTHRSVR) is to be used to determine the number of servers.
</dd>
<dt><b><i>number-pass-through-servers</i></b></dt>
<dd>Specify the number of servers. This will override the current system value (QPASTHRSVR). Valid values range from 1 to 100.
