<div><p>Use <span class="keyword">iSeries™ Navigator</span> to

||
|
|
generate fixes for the packaged products that you have defined and installed
|
||
|
|
on your server.</p>
|
||
|
|
<div class="section"><p>A product is an application program that can be packaged with
|
||
|
|
Management Central. Management Central gives you the capability to package
|
||
|
|
your own products and distribute them to other systems in your network. As
|
||
|
|
is true for most products, once you have installed the product, you can encounter
|
||
|
|
situations when you need to provide fixes to correct problems or potential
|
||
|
|
problems found within your installed product.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p>To generate fixes for
|
||
|
|
non-IBM software that you have defined and installed, follow these steps:</p>
|
||
|
|

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>In <span class="keyword">iSeries Navigator</span>, expand <span class="uicontrol">Management
|
||
|
|
Central</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Expand <span class="uicontrol">Definitions</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Product</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Right-click the product definition that you want to generate fixes
|
||
|
|
for and select <span class="uicontrol">Generate Fix</span>. The product definition
|
||
|
|
must have a status of <span class="uicontrol">Installed</span> or <span class="uicontrol">Managed</span>.</span></li>

|
|
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Specify the appropriate information for the <span class="uicontrol">Generate
|
||
|
|
Fix</span> dialog. Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span>. A fix is created
|
||
|
|
on the source system, but the fix is not yet installed.</span></li>
