<h1 class="topictitle1">Adding additional licensed programs to the installation list</h1>
<div><p>After you have created an installation list, add any additional
licensed programs that you have to the list.</p>
<div class="section"> <p>Perform this task only when you have already created a custom list
of software to install and only when you have additional licensed programs
to add to the list.</p>
<p>These additional programs could be a single product
on media that came with your order or <span>that were</span> independently shipped.
The order in which you load the additional optical media is not important.</p>
<p>Not
all products will be included in this list. Among those are Programming Request
for Price Quotations (PRPQs), licensed program offerings (LPOs), and single
licensed programs. <a href="addlicpgm.htm#addlicpgm">Installing additional licensed programs</a> describes
how to install these products after you have completed your upgrade to the
new release. </p>
<div class="p">If you are using image catalogs, ensure that the image
catalog entry is in mounted status by entering the following command:<pre>LODIMGCLGE IMGCLG(MYCATALOG) IMGCLGIDX(<em>index_number</em>) OPTION(*MOUNT)</pre>

<div class="p">If you have more than one image, enter the following command:<pre>LODIMGCLGE IMGCLG(MYCATALOG) IMGCLGIDX(<em>index_number</em>) OPTION(*LOAD)</pre>
</div>
<div class="p">To add licensed programs from additional optical media
to the installation list, follow these steps. <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> If you are using image
catalogs, ignore the steps that refer to loading volumes. </div>

<ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>Load the installation media that contains the additional licensed
programs. Wait for the In Use indicator to go out. </span></li>
<li class="stepexpand" id="rzahcswsmrgcd__licpgmoption5"><a name="rzahcswsmrgcd__licpgmoption5"><!-- --></a><span>Starting from the Work with Licensed Programs
(LICPGM) menu, select option 5 (Prepare for install), and press Enter. The
Prepare for Install display appears.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select the option to Work with licensed programs for the target
release, and press Enter. The Work with Licensed Programs for Target Release
display appears.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Select option 2 (Merge with additional distribution media) for
the <em>Generate list from</em> prompt so that optical media contents can be
added to the list. The target release value of the existing list appears.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Specify a name for the optical device and press Enter.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>When the Display Messages display appears, load the next media
volume. </span> <p>Type <samp class="codeph">G</samp> and press Enter.</p>
<p>After
you load each volume, type <samp class="codeph">G</samp> and press Enter. If there are
no more volumes to load or if you want to end the loading process, type <samp class="codeph">X</samp> and
press Enter. A list of licensed programs appears. </p>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Type <tt>1</tt> next to the additional licensed programs or optional
parts that you want to select, and press Enter. The Confirm Licensed Programs
for Target Release display appears. Press Enter to confirm the list.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>You see the Prepare for Install display. Select the option to Display
Licensed Programs for the Target Release, and press Enter.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Specify *PRINT for output on the Display Licensed Programs for
Target Release display, and press Enter. This creates a spooled file that
you can print and use as a reference while performing the installation.</span></li>
</ol>
