<div><p>Find information on how to start a Sametime<sup>®</sup> chat with another person using

their search entry page.</p>

<div class="section"><p>In the IBM<sup>®</sup> Telephone Directory V5.2 application, you can start

a Sametime chat
|
||
|
|
with an entry if the application administrator has enabled Sametime support
|
||
|
|
in the application. Only administrators can set up Sametime support.</p>

||

start a Sametime chat
|
||
|
|
with an entry, perform the following steps:</p>

||

URL in your Web browser:</span> <pre>http://<em>your.server.name:port</em>/ibm-bizApps/welcome/home.do</pre>

<p>where <em>your.server.name</em> is the name of the server where IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 is installed
|
||
|
|
and <em>port</em> is the port number that was specified during installation.</p>
|
||
|
|

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Click <span class="uicontrol">Search</span>.</span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Enter criteria to search for (such as a last name), and click <span class="uicontrol">Search</span>.</span></li>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>In the entry, click on the name of the person with whom you want
|
||
|
|
to start a Sametime chat.</span> <div class="note"><span class="notetitle">Note:</span> If the name of the person is not hyperlinked and does not have

a Sametime status

icon next to it, this means the person is not logged on to Sametime.
|
||

You cannot start a Sametime chat with that person.</div>
