<p>The iSeries server

||

requires users to sign on to the system before gaining access to any system
|
||
|
|
functions. This both provides an important measure of security and allows
|
||
|
|
for each user's session to be customized. In addition to checking the password,
|
||
|
|
the operating system uses the signon operation to access the specified user
|
||
|
|
profile. The operating system uses this profile to customize
|
||
|
|
the displays, providing consideration for the user's language and available
|
||
|
|
functions.</p>
