<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Change the message logging level on a job description</h4><p>To
|
||
|
|
change the message logging level on the job description, follow these steps
|
||
|
|
using the character-based interface:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li>At the command line, type <samp class="codeph">WRKJOBD</samp> (Work with Job Descriptions),
|
||
|
|
and press F4 (Prompt).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>For the <em>Job description</em> prompt, specify the name of the job description,
|
||
|
|
such as <samp class="codeph">MYJOBD</samp>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>For the <em>Library</em> prompt, specify the library that contains the job
|
||
|
|
description you want to change, and press Enter.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>On the Work with Job Descriptions display, select option 2 (Change) in
|
||
|
|
front of the job description you want to change, and press Enter.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>On the Change Job Description display, page down to the <strong>Message logging</strong>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>For the <em>Message Logging</em> prompt, type <samp class="codeph">4</samp> for the <em>Level</em> parameter, <samp class="codeph">00</samp> for
|
||
|
|
the <em>Severity</em> parameter, <samp class="codeph">*SECLVL</samp> for the <em>Text</em> parameter,
|
||
|
|
and press Enter.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>You must end and then restart the server for the change to take effect.
|
||
|
|
At the command line, type ENDTCPSVR *MYSERVER, where MYSERVER is the server
|
||
|
|
you want to stop. Then, type STRTCPSVR *MYSERVER to restart the server. Be
|
||
|
|
aware that if you only type ENDTCPSVR, the default *ALL will end all of the
|
||
|
|
TCP servers. If you need to end and restart a server that is not started with
|
||
|
|
the STRTCPSVR command, you need to specify different commands. See the <a href="rzakuservertable.htm#servertable">server table</a> for the appropriate
|
||
|
|
commands to end and restart those servers.</li>

|
|
change the message logging level of a server job that is currently active,
|
||
|
|
follow these steps:</p>
|

<ol><li>At the command line, type <samp class="codeph">CHGJOB</samp>, and press F4 (Prompt).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>For the<em> Job name</em> prompt, specify the name of the job you want to
|
||
|
|
change, such as <samp class="codeph">MYJOB</samp>, and press Enter. See the <a href="rzakuservertable.htm#servertable">server
|
||
|
|
table</a> to find the job name associated to your server.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>On the Change Job display, page down to <strong>Message logging</strong>.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>For the <em>Message Logging</em> prompt, type <samp class="codeph">4</samp> for the <em>Level</em> parameter, <samp class="codeph">00</samp> for
|
||
|
|
the <em>Severity</em> parameter, type <samp class="codeph">*SECLVL</samp> for the Text
