<div><p>You can use the character-based interface to verify jobs.</p>
|
||
|
|
<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Verify the QTCPIP job</h4><p>To find the QTCPIP job using
|
||
|
|
the character-based interface, follow these steps:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li>At the command line, type <samp class="codeph">WRKACTJOB SBS(QSYSWRK)</samp> (Work
|
||
|
|
with Active Jobs).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Press F7 (Find).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>At <strong>String</strong> type <samp class="codeph">QTCPIP</samp> to search for the job. When
|
||
|
|
found, the QTCPIP job is displayed at the top of the subsystem/job list.</li>
|
||
|
|
</ol>
|
||
|
|

<div class="section"><h4 class="sectiontitle">Verify one job for each server</h4><p>To verify that you
|
||
|
|
have at least one job for each of the servers you are attempting to use, follow
|
||
|
|
these steps:</p>
|
||
|
|
<ol><li>At the command line, type WRKSBS (Work with Subsystems).</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>View the list of subsystems, and locate QSYSWRK.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>Select option 8 (Work with subsystem jobs) in front of QSYSWRK, and press
|
||
|
|
Enter.</li>
|
||
|
|
<li>View the list of jobs associated with QSYSWRK. Locate at least one job
|
||
|
|
for each of the applications you are attempting to use and verify that each
|
||
|
|
of the jobs is active.</li>
|
||
|
|
</ol>
|
||
|
|
<p>In addition to verifying active jobs in the QSYSWRK subsystem, you
|
||
|
|
should verify jobs in the QUSRWRK and QSERVER subsystems. If you have servers
|
||
|
|
that run in their own subsystems, you should also check the jobs in those
|
||
|
|
subsystems. See the <a href="rzakuservertable.htm#servertable">server
|
||
|
|
table</a> to find the job name associated to the server you want to verify.</p>
