<div><ol><li class="stepexpand"><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
expand iSeries A <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol"></span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> &gt; <span class="uicontrol">IP Policies</span></span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Quality of Service</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Configuration</span> to
open the quality of service (QoS) interface.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the QoS interface, right-click the DiffServ policy type and
select <span class="uicontrol">New Policy</span> to open the wizard.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Read the Welcome page and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span> to
go to the Name page.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In the <span class="uicontrol">Name</span> field, enter <samp class="codeph">UCD</samp>.
Optionally, you can also enter a description to help you remember the intent
of this policy. Click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Clients page, select <span class="uicontrol">Specific address or addresses</span> and
click <span class="uicontrol">New</span> to define your client.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In the New Client window, enter the following information and click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span>: </span> <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Name</span>: <tt>UCD_Client</tt></li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">IP address and mask</span>: <tt>10.10.10.0 / 24</tt></li>
</ul>
<p>After you click OK, you return to the policy wizard. If you had previous
clients created, de-select them and verify that only relevant clients are
selected.</p>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Server Data Request page, verify that <span class="uicontrol">Any token</span> and <span class="uicontrol">All
priorities</span> are selected and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Applications page, select <span class="uicontrol">Specific port, range
of ports, or server type</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">New</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In the New Application window, enter the following information
and click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to return to the wizard: </span> <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Name</span>: <tt>HTTP</tt></li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">Port</span>: <tt>80</tt></li>
</ul>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Applications page, select <span class="uicontrol">Protocol</span> and
verify <span class="uicontrol">TCP</span> is selected. Click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Local IP address page, verify <span class="uicontrol">All IP addresses</span> is
selected and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Differentiated Class of Service page, click <span class="uicontrol">New</span> to
define performance characteristics. The New Class of Service wizard appears.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Read the Welcome page and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Name page, enter <samp class="codeph">UCD_service</samp>. Optionally,
you can enter a description to help you remember the intent of this policy.
Click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Type of Service page, select <span class="uicontrol">Outbound only</span> and
click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>. This class of service will only be used
for outbound policies.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Outbound DiffServ Codepoint Marking page, select <span class="uicontrol">Class
4</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>. A per-hop behavior determines
what performance this traffic will receive from routers and other servers
on the network. Use the Help associated to the interface to assist in your
decision.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Perform Outbound Traffic Metering page, verify that <span class="uicontrol">Yes</span> is
selected, and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Outbound Rate Control Limits page, enter the following information
and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>:</span> <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Token bucket size</span>: 100 Kilobits</li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">Average rate limit</span>: 512 Kilobits per second</li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">Peak rate limit</span>: 1 Megabits per second</li>
</ul>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Outbound Out-of-Profile Traffic page, select <span class="uicontrol">Drop
UDP packets or reduce TCP congestion window</span> and click <span class="uicontrol">Next</span>.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>Review the Summary information for the class of service. If accurate,
click <span class="uicontrol">Finish</span> to create the class of service. After
you click Finish, you return to the policy wizard and your class of service
will be selected. Click Next.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>On the Schedule page, select Active during selected schedule and
click New.</span></li>
<li class="stepexpand"><span>In the Add New Schedule window, enter the following information
and click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span>: </span> <ul><li><span class="uicontrol">Name</span>: UCD_schedule</li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">Time of day</span>: Active 24 hours</li>
<li><span class="uicontrol">Day of week</span>: Friday</li>
</ul>

<li class="stepexpand"><span>Click next to view a summary of the policy. If accurate, click <span class="uicontrol">Finish</span>.
On the QoS Server Configuration window, you can see the new policy listed
in the right pane.</span></li>
