<div><p>Allows you to configure, start, stop, and view the VPN Connection

Manager and VPN Key Manager server traces. This is similar to using the TRCTCPAPP

*VPN command from the character-based interface except that you can view the
|
|||
|

trace while a connection is active.</p>

<div class="section">To view the VPN server trace, follow these steps:</div>
|
|||
|
|
<ol><li><span>In <span class="keyword">iSeries™ Navigator</span>,
|
|||
|
|
expand your <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">server</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> > <span class="uicontrol">IP Policies</span></span>.</span></li>
|
|||
|
|
<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Virtual Private Networking</span>,
|
|||
|
|
select <span class="uicontrol">Diagnostic Tools</span>, and then <span class="uicontrol">Server
|
|||
|
|
Trace</span>.</span></li>

<div class="section"><p>To specify what type of trace you want the VPN Key Manager and

|||
|
|
the VPN Connection Manager to generate, follow these steps:</p>

<ol><li>From the <span class="uicontrol">Virtual Private Networking Trace</span> window,
|
|||
|
|
click <img src="ip3029.gif" alt="Options icon" /> (Options).</li>
|
|||
|
|
<li>On the <span class="uicontrol">Connection Manager</span> page, specify what type
|
|||
|
|
of trace you want the Connection Manager server to run.</li>
|
|||
|
|
<li>On the <span class="uicontrol">Key Manager</span> page, specify what type of trace
|
|||
|
|
you want the Key Manager server to run.</li>
|
|||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="uicontrol">Help</span> if you have questions about how complete
|
|||
|
|
a page or any of its fields.</li>
|
|||
|
|
<li>Click <span class="uicontrol">OK</span> to save your changes.</li>
|
|||
|
|
<li>Click <img src="ip3017.gif" alt="Start icon" /> (Start) to start
|
|||
|
|
the trace. Click <img src="ip3030.gif" alt="Refresh icon" /> (Refresh)
|
|||
|
|
periodically to view the latest trace information.</li>
