<div><p>Before you can use PPP to set up a point-to-point connection, you
must first configure your PPP environment. </p>

The first step in configuring a PPP connection between systems
is to create a connection profile on the iSeries™ server.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaiycfgmodem.htm">Configure your modem for PPP</a></strong><br />
For your analog PPP connections, you can use an external modem,
an internal modem or an ISDN terminal adapter. A modem provides you with analog
connection capabilities (leased and switched lines). Modem descriptions for
the most popular modems have been defined for the iSeries™ server.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaiyremotepc.htm">Configure a remote PC</a></strong><br />
To connect to an iSeries™ server from a PC that runs any Windows<sup>®</sup> 32-bit
operating systems, verify that the modem is installed and configured properly,
and ensure that you installed TCP/IP and Dial-Up Networking on the personal
computer.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaiyattgn.htm">Configure Internet access through the AT&amp;T Global Network</a></strong><br />
Special profiles are required when communicating with the AT&amp;T Global Network.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaiycfgwizards.htm">Connection wizards</a></strong><br />
You can use connection wizards to guide you through connection profile configuration.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaiycfggap.htm">Configure a group access policy</a></strong><br />
The <strong>Group Access Policies</strong> folder under Receiver Connection
Profiles provides options for configuring point-to-point connection parameters
that apply to a group of remote users. It applies only to those point-to-point
connections that originate from a remote system and are received by the local
system.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaiycfgipfilter.htm">Apply IP packet filtering rules to a PPP connection</a></strong><br />
You can use a packet rules file to restrict a user or a group's access to IP addresses on your network.</li>
<li class="ulchildlink"><strong><a href="rzaiycfgradiusdhcp.htm">Enable RADIUS and DHCP services for connection profiles</a></strong><br />
To enable RADIUS or DHCP services for PPP receiver connection profiles, follow these steps.</li>
