<div><p>Understand the memory requirement for a primary partition.</p>
|

<p>The minimum memory required by the primary partition may change if you
|
||
|
|
install a new <span class="keyword">i5/OS™</span> software
|
||
|
|
release. A logical partition configuration error may occur if the minimum
|
||
|
|
memory value is insufficient. Use iSeries™ Navigator to change the minimum
|
||
|
|
and maximum memory value for each partition.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p><span class="uicontrol">Note - SRC Error B600 5390:</span> When installing a new
|
||
|
|
release to a partition, this error usually indicates that the partition to
|
||
|
|
which you are installing does not have enough minimum memory to restart. To
|
||
|
|
increase the minimum memory for the partition, you must reconfigure the partition's
|
||
|
|
memory using iSeries Navigator
|
||
|
|
or the character-based interface. When reconfiguring, the system will provide
|
||
|
|
suggested memory minimums.</p>
|
||
