<div><p>You can set up interactive performance so that you can change the

values between logical partitions without needing to restart the entire system.</p>
<div class="section"><p>The minimum and maximum specify the range of values you can enter
without needing to restart the partition. When you change the limits for the
logical partition's interactive performance, you must restart the partition.</p>
<p>You
can specify an interactive performance minimum value equal to the minimum
amount of interactive performance needed to support the logical partition.
The maximum value must be less than the amount of interactive performance
available on the system.</p>
<p>Your system has a certain amount of interactive
performance based on the type of system and the number of processors. Interactive
performance refers to how much the user must interact with (respond to prompts
from) the computer. You can contrast interactive with batch (no user intervention
required).</p>
<p>Given the amount of interactive performance on your system
(CPW), you need to determine what percentage will be available for each logical
partition. The combined total of each logical partition's interactive performance
must not exceed 100%.</p>
