<div><p>If you do not have AT&T Global Network support, you must first

configure a mail connection profile.</p>
|
||
|

<div class="section"><p>To manually create a dial-up connection profile, complete the

||

following steps:</p>

||

can skip to Configure the ISP Dial-up Connection wizard.</div>

||

||

<ol><li><span>In iSeries™ Navigator,
|
||
|
|
expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">your iSeries Server</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Network</span> > <span class="uicontrol">Remote Access Services</span></span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">Receiver Connection Profiles</span> and
|
||
|
|
select <span class="uicontrol">New Profile</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">PPP</span> for the <span class="uicontrol">Protocol type</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Select <span class="uicontrol">Switched line</span> for <span class="uicontrol">Connection
|
||
|
|
type</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Expand <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP Configuration</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Connections</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Expand <span class="menucascade"><span class="uicontrol">Servers</span> > <span class="uicontrol">TCP/IP</span></span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Right-click <span class="uicontrol">SMTP</span> and select <span class="uicontrol">Properties</span>.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Click the <span class="uicontrol">Scheduler</span> tab. Select the <span class="uicontrol">Start
|
||
|
|
scheduler when SMTP is started</span> check box, and specify the connection
|
||
|
|
profile that you created.</span></li>
|
||
|
|
<li><span>Click the ETRN page and select the <span class="uicontrol">Support ETRN (Dial-up
|
||
|
|
mail retrieval)</span> check box. Click <span class="uicontrol">Add</span> to
|
||
|
|
specify the domain name for your ISP's outgoing server's address.</span></li>

<li><span>Enable the firewall and point to the outgoing Internet service
|
||
|
|
provider's (ISP's) mail server.</span></li>
|
||
|

<li><span>Continue with the wizard to set up a new ISP dial-up connection.</span></li>
